Under-voltage error

#1

Hello,

After running the latest raspberry update it now boots to a black screen and says "Under-voltage detected! (0x00050005). Any ideas on how we can restore our piper computer to working again?

Thank you!

You need a Power Supply mUnit (PSU) with more amperage. Here is a list so you can pick depending on your pi

Product Recommended PSU current capacity Maximum total USB peripheral current draw
Raspberry Pi Model A+ 700mA 500mA
Raspberry Pi Model B+ 1.8A 600mA/1.2A (switchable)
Raspberry Pi 2 Model B 1.8A 600mA/1.2A (switchable)
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B 2.5A 1.2A

Thank you Paul, is there a way I can revert back to the factory install so that we can keep using Piper computer with the power supply that came with it?

You can keep using it with your existing PSU - but you will still be running under voltage
or
you can revert (flash SD card from old version) - but you will still be running under voltage

How old is your Piper?

You can also send a note to hi@playpiper.com and tell them about it.
