Can't get past pulley elevator

#1

Hi,

My son loving his Play Piper. Alex is just trying to get past pulley elevator that uses water in tank at one end to raise the other end. He is just having problems doing this …any help appreciated.

Hi there, can you ask your son what the switch he builds in that room does?

Also, if he’s ever unsure of what he needs to do, he can open his mission log by clicking with the middle mouse button, and read the history of past chat messages.

Hey, we are having a similar issue. My daughter understands the valve open close pulley thing, she just can’t get onto the elevator. Any hints?

Thanks.

Replying to my own message: don’t mistake the water tank for the elevator. Things aren’t always clear in the blocky world!

I am having the same problem not sure what you mean by ur the switch. Here is what I have

#8

When you are in the room, if you use the switches, what happens in the room?

#9

How do I use the switches in the room? Am I using the physical switches I built or the switches in the game ?. When I use the switches I built I don’t see anything happening

The physical switches should cause actions to take place in the game. Check the info boxes in the room again. Also can you post a picture of the switches and the gpio pins on the Pi so I can verify things are plugged in the correct places.

Don’t forget you can open the mission log by clicking with the middle mouse button, and read the history of past chat messages.

Hi @Vostrow,

Thanks for sharing the pic! It looks like the wires going into your switch are not aligned with the switch pins. Both of the wires need to be moved over one to the right.

Cheers,
