Jordan, I have tried a few more things.
The green pulsing light stops when I try to enter the open (unlocked) level
(mars? I think).
I hooked up a wireless keyboard to try to help the situation.
Although my wireless keyboard still responds via the keyboard mouse (when I
am in the cursor twirling state) , the cntrl/alt/del does not.
I still must shut power to end. After which I always go in and end
properly via the desktop menu.
For full disclosure, I must say my 8 year old grandson was somehow getting
to the Creative Mode even though it was locked since he had not finished
all the levels. It was when he started having problems with the Creative
Mode that I got involved. I told him to go back and finish all the levels
before he continues in creative mode as that may resolve any problems he
was having in the Creative Mode.
That is when we discovered the problem.
I also noticed just before I pulled all the wires and components from his
breadboards, that he may have had a button and toggle switch wired
incorrectly (maybe as I didn't take the time to make sure). If so, it was
one leg of each (I assume one positive and one negative were in the same
breadboard power channel. BUT I may have seen in incorrectly as my eyes
aren't that good. I didn't double check because, from your first
instructions to me you said that bad wiring might be the problem and I was
in a hurry to resolve this issue. If it was wired incorrectly I would be
surprised as my grandson is very familiar with breadboards, but things
happen! If this is the case, that could explain why he was having trouble
in the Creative Mode.
Although my grandson has worked with me on many 'techie' projects, and he
understands that sometimes you need patience to resolve issues, I am sure
he is very disappointed at this time. I hope we can come to an early
I am waiting further help from you. I can check logs, etc if that may
